Winter Sports Driving the Development of the Ice and Snow Economy: Mechanisms, Challenges, and Pathways is compiled by Beijing Sport University. The paper elaborates on three dynamic mechanisms for the vigorous development of the ice and snow economy, namely the Winter Olympics effect and policy mechanism of winter sports, the competition and event mechanism of winter sports, and the vertical and horizontal mechanism of the ice and snow industry, starting with clarifying the connotation of the ice and snow economy. The study holds that China faces many dilemmas in the development of the ice and snow economy driven by winter sports, including unbalanced regional development, imperfect ice and snow event system, unestablished industrial linkage mechanism of the ice and snow industry, untapped ice and snow consumption scale, and imperfect talent system construction. It also puts forward the practical paths of "integrating culture and promoting common development; optimizing the system and strengthening the organization; improving facilities and building brands; creating products and protecting rights and interests; cultivating talents and promoting integration".
